On Tuesday, 10 November, Sömmerda hosts an evening titled "Mördern auf der Spur" (On the Trail of Killers). Joining the stage are forensic pathologist Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Lessig, criminal judge Stefan Caspari, and Michael Ulrich, head of the LKA's forensic evidence team. The audience can watch live as the three experts dissect spectacular murder cases - including the Halle attack - tracing how the crimes unfolded, what drove the perpetrators, and how the courts arrived at their judgements.
Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Lessig is a specialist in forensic medicine and a forensic odontologist. He has been director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Halle for over ten years.
Criminal judge Stefan Caspari is a presiding judge at the regional court, ruling on cases involving murderers, rapists and fraudsters. He offers a candid look at the sometimes complex process of reaching a verdict.
Michael Ulrich heads the crime scene unit of the State Criminal Investigation Office of Saxony-Anhalt and has been responsible for evidence collection at serious crime scenes for over 30 years.
