The work of young New York composer and bandleader Christopher Zuar has drawn praise from leading critics and musicians including Fred Hersch and Maria Schneider. His inventive compositions tell stories entirely without words. Now he comes to Frankfurt to share his musical vision with the MA Bigband students.

As part of the MA Bigband programme at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt (HfMDK), students regularly get the chance to learn from top figures on the international music scene. In the "PLAY!" series, the hr-Bigband shares the stage with the students - this time under the direction of Christopher Zuar.
