Peter Paul Althaus, born in 1892, was once censored by Goebbels and is today nearly forgotten. A cabaret artist, satirist and dreamer, he counted Ringelnatz, Rilke and the Mann family among his friends.
Suzanne von Borsody brings his playful, poetic texts to life - full of wordplay, depth and melancholy. Together with double bassist Kurt Holzkämper, she creates a jazz-inflected, improvised dialogue between voice and bass.
Even flowers get to "speak" - a surprising, witty evening that moves between quiet smiles and outright laughter.
