Six Pack - A Cappella-Comedy Show - ZUKUNFTSMUSIK - The Best of Yesterday
Theater Fifty-Fifty, Erlangen, Germany
Since 1990, these pioneers of comic vocal art - laden with cultural prizes and various ticket prices - have been pillaging and plundering music history well beyond the Western canon, drawing from audiences cries of delight and horror they never knew they had.
How it all came about is the subject of the a cappella comedy show "ZUKUNFTSMUSIK" - a revue that probably should never have happened. The programme features highlights from over 35 years of a cappella piracy alongside brand-new shockers: Carmen's "Habanera" tames the schlager world of Münchner Freiheit, Spliff devours a delicious "Carbonara", Paolo Conte's "Via con me" gets lit up by "Blue Moon", and Brotherhood of Man kisses everyone in sight.
Six Pack once again proves how well brilliant vocal arrangements pair with outlandish ideas, charming "Turnvater Jahn" choreographies and a two-tiered show staircase.
