High Root Open Air X Summer in the City

Mainzplus announces another event as part of "Summer in the City" 2026. Following established events in Taunusstein, the intergenerational open-air concept now moves to Mainz. High Root promises a special festival experience for all age groups, featuring international top DJ acts such as Milk & Sugar, The Disco Boys, and Tom Novy, alongside regional scene stars.

High Root stands for electronic music in an open, intergenerational atmosphere. The concept combines high-quality DJ acts with a family-friendly setting, creating space for a shared experience of parents and children. While established house and techno artists perform on stage, kid- and family-friendly offerings ensure a relaxed environment. The goal is to reunite people who once celebrated together - now with their children and a new, more conscious festival experience.

The line-up is led by Milk & Sugar, who have been among the top of the international house scene for over 20 years. With classics like "Let The Sun Shine", "Higher & Higher", and the worldwide hit "Hey (Nah Neh Nah)", they have written club history. The Disco Boys will also perform at the Citadel, having released one of the most defining dance hits of the 2000s - "For You". Tom Novy, another internationally successful DJ and producer, rounds out the line-up. Known for tracks like "Your Body" and "Superstar", he is a resident at Ministry of Sound in London and has played in clubs from Ibiza through Miami to Dubai. Collaborations with artists such as Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake, as well as his presence in radio and TV, make him a fixture of the scene.
