The Comedy of Errors - A Farce by William Shakespeare with Music

Shakespeare delivers on the promise of his title: this is comedy in its purest form!

What entertains the audience to their heart's content, however, is a great muddle for two pairs of identical twins who meet through a series of misunderstandings and coincidences: Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant Dromio of Syracuse arrive in Ephesus, which turns out to be the home of their twin brothers Antipholus of Ephesus and his servant Dromio of Ephesus. When the Syracusans encounter the friends and families of their long-separated twins, a cascade of wild mishaps stemming from mistaken identities leads to undeserved blows, near-seduction, Antipholus's arrest, and false accusations of infidelity, theft, madness, and demonic possession.

After the second, third mix-up, everyone asks themselves: Who am I? The person I believe myself to be, or the person my surroundings take me for?

This turbulent comedy of errors - as always with plenty of musical interludes - is an entertaining journey into one's own identity, raising questions about the uniqueness of us all and our self-perception. Are we merely a "tear in the ocean" or something more?
