The Comedy of Errors - A Farce by William Shakespeare with Music

Shakespeare delivers exactly what the title promises: a comedy in its purest form. At the heart of the story are two pairs of identical twins who encounter each other through a series of misunderstandings and coincidences: Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant Dromio of Syracuse travel to Ephesus - only to arrive in the very homeland of their twin brothers Antipholus of Ephesus and Dromio of Ephesus. What follows is a chain of wild confusions: unlawful beatings, near seduction, the arrest of Antipholus, and accusations of infidelity, theft, madness, and demonic possession.

After the second or third mix-up, an inevitable question emerges: Who am I really - what I believe myself to be, or what the world around me thinks I am? Are we merely a "tear in the ocean" or something more?

Shakespeare Company Berlin's production, as always, is filled with musical interludes.
