After the Rehearsal - An Intimate Chamber Play by Ingmar Bergman

After a theatre rehearsal, renowned director Henrik Vogler and young actress Anna meet in an empty rehearsal room. What begins as a matter-of-fact conversation develops into an intense dialogue about art, power, dependency, and personal vulnerability. Memories, unspoken conflicts, and emotional projections surface - not only between director and actress, but also in the shadow of Anna's deceased mother, who was once Vogler's great love and stage partner.

In "After the Rehearsal," Ingmar Bergman distils theatre to its essence: language becomes a scalpel, the stage a place of ruthless self-discovery. A clever, intimate chamber play about the relationship between life and art - and the price both demand.
