Sacred Choral Music

Dresdner Kammerchor performs at Annenkirche in Dresden on Wednesday, 7 October 2026 at 19:00. The concert features sacred music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, with works by Heinrich Schütz and Hugo Distler. Annenkirche, an evangelical church in Dresden's Altstadt with roots reaching back to the 15th century, provides an ideal setting for this repertoire. Rebuilt after wartime destruction, it now serves both sacred and cultural functions. The choir performs compositions that stand as testimony to artistic resistance against war and violence.
