Dr. Dolittle - after Hugh Lofting

Dr. John Dolittle lives with his sister Sarah in a small town in England. He is actually just an ordinary doctor - but with a great love for animals. In fact, there's already an incredible number of animals living with him: a pig, a dog, a duck, an owl, a hedgehog, and many, many others. When the parrot Polynesia teaches him the language of the animals and a crocodile suddenly appears at the front door, Sarah has had enough and moves out!

John becomes famous in the animal kingdom - so famous that the animals ask him for help as a doctor. A terrible disease has broken out in Africa, and only he can help. Together with his closest animal friends, he sets off on a journey…

But the sea voyage turns out quite differently than expected, and both his stay in Africa and the return journey hold many surprises for Dr. Dolittle and his friends…
