Programme: Mozart - Sonatas in A minor KV 310 and C major KV 545, Fantasy in D minor KV 397 / Chopin - Ballades in G minor op. 23 and F major op. 38, Fantasy in F minor op. 49

Olga Scheps was born as the daughter of Ukrainian pianists in Russia and has lived in Germany since 1992. Supported early on by Alfred Brendel, she studied with Pavel Gililov, Arie Vardi, and Dmitri Bashkirov. Her debut album "Chopin" won the ECHO Klassik award in 2009; this was followed by "Russian Album", "Tchaikovsky" and recordings of works by Schubert and Satie. On "Melody" (2019) she created a musical arc spanning four centuries from J.S. Bach to Aphex Twin; two years later came "Family" with piano arrangements of well-known melodies and soundtracks as well as unpublished compositions by Chilly Gonzales and Scheps herself. In addition to solo and orchestral concerts worldwide, she performs chamber music with Alban Gerhardt, Daniel Hope, Nils Mönkemeyer and the Danish String Quartet.
