Brazilian pianist Amaro Freitas performs at Burg Vischering in Lüdinghausen on Sunday, 21 June 2026 at 6 p.m. This is one of two German dates on his tour; he returns to Berlin in September. Burg Vischering, one of Westphalia's best-preserved water castles, surrounded by a double moat, provides an unusual setting for this solo recital. Freitas's music weaves together Afro-Brazilian rhythms-Maracatu and Frevo-with contemporary jazz and free improvisation, creating a sound rooted in tradition yet open to experimentation. Admission is 25 euros.
