Theater Pralka presents its 2026 production "Othello.Therapie".

Men and women simply don't belong together - Desdemona, Emilia and Bianca, Othello's strangled, Iago's stabbed and Cassio's ex, learned that lesson in the most drastic way imaginable. A few hundred years later, their self-esteem in tatters, they find themselves at a bowling alley. They had sworn to steer well clear of the subject of men - yet of course they talk about almost nothing else: their disastrous past relationships and the slim chance of new love.

Old wounds reopen, spite and jealousy flare up - especially when Lodovico turns up, the wealthy, much-coveted charmer. For a moment rivalry threatens to tear them apart, but the three women close ranks again. Each devises her own personal Othello therapy, craving a different life, and in her imagination happiness is almost within reach - until courage fails her.
