Gotthold Ephraim Lessing wrote his final work, "Nathan the Wise", in response to the religious orthodoxy and intolerance of his era. In "Nathan, a Plea for the Future? Theatre in Dialogue", selected scenic excerpts from our existing production of "Nathan the Wise" are brought together. At the heart of the programme is the famous Ring Parable, which wrestles with the question of which of the three great world religions is the true one. After the performance, you are warmly invited to join an open discussion.
