JaniPhil und Band — Fischhalle Harburg, Hamburg

Janika and Philip Görres are an artistic couple who lead a unique life in Wendland, a region in eastern Lower Saxony known for the Gorleben protests and the highest concentration of artists in rural Germany.

Their authentic indie-folk-pop music tells stories of stubbornness, vulnerability, anger, idleness, personal responsibility - and what truly keeps us alive. It springs from a natural, freedom-loving lifestyle. Beyond their profound lyrics, their clear and honest voices take center stage - whether as a duet or in two-part harmony - accompanied by atmospheric guitar sounds or powerful strumming.

The artistic couple met in a movement theatre collective, which they joined after completing their acting training. There they deepened and developed their artistic forms of expression. They worked on numerous projects together and learned to unite their creative energies. Their shared passion for artistic expression is also reflected in their music and lyrics.

Since spring 2025, JaniPhil has been complemented by Thomas Sonntag on bass, adding depth and contour to their sound. On October 24, 2025, the new single "Wohin ich gehen will" was released, created together with Niklas Loose and Thomas Sonntag. Another highlight followed on December 13, 2025: at the 43rd German Rock & Pop Awards, JaniPhil was honored in the special category "Best Pop Song" for their song "Das verlorene Glück".

In spring 2026, Henry Herpell joined on drums, adding another musical dimension. Together, a fuller and more distinctive JaniPhil sound is emerging, which will unfold for the first time in full band lineup at the 2026 Kulturelle Landpartie.
