About the venue: Bockenheimer Depot

The Bockenheimer Depot is a former tram depot in Frankfurt's Bockenheim district, built in the late 19th century. Its vast industrial hall, with original brick walls and iron roof structure, serves as an unconventional stage for the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt - primarily for opera and theatre productions that demand large, flexible spaces. The raw architecture gives performances a distinctly atmospheric quality that a conventional theatre rarely can.
