Description was written before the event

Reflections and questions about what it means to be human, inspired by the works of Astor Piazzolla.

Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) came from humble beginnings, spent his childhood in the Bronx in New York, and eventually achieved worldwide fame. His life, with all its highs and lows, was the raw material of his music - and the soil in which he developed Tango Nuevo.

Cordula Sauter performs Piazzolla's works solo on the accordion and speaks about each piece, exploring themes such as "Forgetting", "Freedom", "Home", "Dreams", "Aimlessness", "Vitality", and "Fear". The programme poses questions about being human - for each person individually, without offering ready-made answers.
