What goes on the grill - or rather, which grill? That is the question facing the members' meeting of a tennis club in provincial Germany. A new grill needs to be bought. In true club fashion, there is of course a vote. A mere formality, one might think. Until someone proposes buying a separate grill for the club's only Turkish member...
A well-meaning idea that quickly sparks heated debate and puts the club's cosy world to the test. What rights must the majority grant a minority? Is grilling a cornerstone of German culture? And aren't vegetarians, when you think about it, a kind of religious community too?

"Extrawurst" is a comedy by well-known writers Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob, who have worked on popular TV formats including "Die Wochenshow", "Ladykracher", "Das Amt" and "Stromberg".
