Zu Gast: The No Plastic Band — Wallgraben Theater, Freiburg im Breisgau

A typical Beatles concert in the early 1960s lasted about 20 minutes. The last official public performance by the Fab Four took place in San Francisco on August 29, 1966. The Beatles played for 33 minutes.

They could be heard live one last time on January 30, 1969, when they spontaneously played several songs on the roof of the Apple Corps building on Savile Row in London. Police ended the concert after 42 minutes due to complaints from neighbors, and traffic around the building came to a complete standstill.

When you go to a No Plastic Band concert today, more than 40 years later, you get more: the entire Beatles career in overview from 1962 to 1970, including many songs from the period when the Beatles experimented intensively in the studio and never played them live. Number one hits, B-sides, greatest hits, beautiful melodies, vocal harmonies, and above all what was always most important to the Beatles: rock and roll. Plus much of what defined the 1960s, musically as well.

All of it pure and focused on what matters: the music.

The No Plastic Band has existed since 1990 with an almost unchanged line-up:
Dieter (guitar, vocals)
Manuel (bass, vocals)
Ralf (guitar, vocals)
Tom (keyboards)
Volker (drums, vocals)
