Max Goldt was born in 1958 and grew up in Göttingen. In his early years he was a musician, notably as a member of the band Foyers des Arts. He has been writing for more than 35 years. By conventional standards, his texts are all short, and almost all are funny, humorous, or satirical. He lives in Berlin.
