Kamm ON! Poetry Slam - Best Of - Open Air in Kulturgarten

"Winners only" - that's the motto for the Poetry Slam in Kammgarn Kulturgarten! This inspiring poetry and text-art competition is no longer a secret tip but has become a unique entertainment format beloved throughout the German-speaking world, regularly drawing packed crowds in Kaiserslautern.

It's high time for a Best Of edition featuring five selected winners from previous Kamm ON! rounds. Devoted fans know that the coveted golden comb has traditionally been awarded by public vote. But since all the protagonists this time already own this prize, something new awaits. What could it be?

The open-air special also brings a new format: all slam professionals get to perform twice, giving the audience a maximum dose of wordcraft from these seasoned language masters. Figuratively speaking, it's a bit more poetic showmanship than pure competition.

For those unfamiliar with Poetry Slam, here's a quick rundown of the rules: a microphone, six and a half minutes of speaking time, and a diverse mix of styles, texts, and performers. Anything expressible through words and voice is allowed, except singing. Props and costumes are not permitted.

The evening is hosted by two-time Rhineland-Palatinate Poetry Slam champion "Phriedrich Chiller". Once again, the audience decides who wins this season's best Poetry Slam.
