Streets Shine. A Monument to the Mann Family - An Evening with Albert Coers — Literaturhaus München, Munich
Description was written before the event

Welcome: Tanja Graf
Conversation: Florian Matzner

With his project "Streets Shine," artist Albert Coers has created a poetic monument to the Mann family - Germany's most celebrated literary family. Munich, Zurich, Sanary-sur-Mer, Los Angeles: On Salvatorplatz behind the Literaturhaus, historic street signs and lamps commemorate the life paths and places of residence of Thomas and Katia Mann and their six children, expressing experiences of exile and internationalism. The newly published volume (Kerber Verlag) documents this extraordinary art project in texts and photographs like a travel journal. The book's editor, Florian Matzner (Academy of Fine Arts Munich) and Albert Coers share with us the creation of the artwork - from the first idea to its realization - and take us on a journey around the world with a destination: Salvatorplatz, Munich!
