Hayo Boerema - Organ Concert

Hayo Boerema (b. 1972, Rotterdam) is titular organist of the largest organ in the Netherlands - the 85-stop Marcussen organ at the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam. He has won numerous international organ competitions, including Vienna (1998), Nuremberg (1999), St Albans (2001), Nijmegen (2004) and Kotka (2005), and in 2009 received the Silver Medal of the Académie Arts-Sciences-Lettres in Paris for his interpretations of French organ music.

Alongside an active concert schedule worldwide, Boerema regularly takes part in radio and television productions - as a soloist and in collaboration with ensembles such as the Laurens Collegium.

As Professor of Organ at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, he leads international masterclasses in interpretation and improvisation, and serves as a juror at major competitions, including the International Organ Improvisation Competition in Haarlem.
