Aus voller Kehle fur die Seele - series: Das Singende Gasthaus - with Patrick Bopp — Rosenau - Lokalität & Bühne, Stuttgart

"Aus voller Kehle fur die Seele" (Singing from the Soul) is a new series at Rosenau in Stuttgart, open to anyone who enjoys singing - and that really does mean anyone: those who think they can't sing at all, those who manage a little, and those who sing often and with gusto.

This is not a regular choir with scheduled rehearsals and performances. In fact, it's not a choir at all. It's a gathering built around the joy of singing together - the fun of trying things out, experimenting, and yes, failing together too. No sheet music needed; lyrics are projected onto a screen. Things can get lively and a little wild.

Patrick Bopp, also known as Memphis, is a member of the Stuttgart vocal-comedy group "Füenf" and takes on the role of musical host at the "Singing Tavern". He leads the singing, conducts, motivates, offers harmonies and accompanies on piano. The repertoire covers everything singable: rock and pop, 1920s couplets, folk songs, children's songs, rap, ska, and yodelling. Anything goes - from ABBA and Die Toten Hosen to Heino, Schubert songs, Rio Reiser, and Ed Sheeran. Everyone is welcome to suggest songs, which will be played on the spot if possible or prepared for next time. The evening runs 2 x 45 minutes with a break in between; the hall is seated and the bar will be open.
