Awesome Scampis deliver celebratory ska and pop-punk with brass instruments and German-language lyrics. Earworm guaranteed. Since the band's formation in 2005, eight likeable musicians from the Ruhr Valley have brought a grin to the audience's face at every show. Audiences and critics agree: the entertaining performances with powerful brass sound - featuring trumpet, trombone, and saxophone - are celebrated enthusiastically and promise a fantastic blend of colourful party energy on and in front of the stage. This band simply rocks.

Comparisons to bands like Sondaschule, Rantanplan, or Farin Urlaub are spot on. With incredible energy and good humour, Awesome Scampis tackle everyday themes, love, and friendship in their lyrics - but also serious subjects like depression and current political situations. Always with a wink and self-irony. Most importantly: catchy, contagious, and danceable.

Since their founding in 2005, the band has performed countless live shows at home and abroad. They've played festival and club stages alongside major acts and as support for bands like Sondaschule, Russkaja, Montreal, and Rantanplan. International acts such as Mad Caddies, Jaya the Cat, and Buster Shuffle have also opened for them. Their appearances at Eselrock (Wesel), Juicy Beats (Dortmund), and regular slots at Rock am Beckenrand (Wolfshagen im Harz) have made Awesome Scampis familiar to festival audiences.

The band is currently working on new material expected to be released in spring 2026.
