CLASSICS
"The recorder isn't exactly the coolest of all musical instruments. But Tobias Reisige and 'Wildes Holz' restore its credibility." (WDR)
The trio Wildes Holz has made a name for itself by playing rock and pop music on "real" - that is, wooden - instruments. Above all on the recorder, which gives this repertoire a distinctly unique character.
What works with rock classics works equally well with the "real" classics: Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Brahms, Telemann - performed as if they were rock songs. In a way, they are. Wooden humor, virtuosity, and a generous dose of self-irony clearly do these works good.
For 25 years the trio has played on the small and large stages of Germany - and has itself become a classic.
