Grace Cummings comes to Europe and the UK in November with her most ambitious and arresting work to date. Bloodhorse! - her fourth album, out 14 August on ATO Records - marks a bold move into new musical territory. Recorded in Topanga Canyon, California, with Grammy-nominated producer Jonathan Wilson (Father John Misty, Angel Olsen, Margo Price), the album finds an artist deploying her extraordinary voice in new ways: that deep, untamed contralto timbre that pulls you in from the first note.
Synthesizers, tension-filled string arrangements and floating grooves combine into a sound that keeps the intimate warmth of her earlier records while striking out in unexpected directions. Where the previous album Ramona opened the door to her world, Bloodhorse! leads straight into its darker corners. The songs circle around life and death, self-determination and self-questioning - by turns lush and overwhelming, raw and unsparing, moving between vulnerability and resilience. Music you don't just hear, but feel.
Following a European tour supporting Father John Misty and a sold-out headline show in London, Grace Cummings brings Bloodhorse! to the stage in autumn 2026 with her full band. A live show well worth catching.
