Description was written before the event

In the capital of the land of money - known as the Fortress - a silver tower rises 145 floors into the sky. There lives Shadow Phoenix, a rebellious teenager being groomed to inherit the tower ruled by her mother Moula, the Empress.

On the northern outskirts of Hadéaï lies a vast rubbish dump where the local population scrapes by collecting recyclable waste. That is home to Ernesto, a naive teenager convinced it is his destiny to change the world.

Moula organises a lottery open exclusively to the women of Hadéaï, with the winner set to become a multimillionaire. But after the draw, nothing goes as planned. Instead of a triumphant winner, there are days of waiting, growing rumours, riots with casualties, a startling revelation, and a huge popular ball for Hadéaï and the Fortress alike. Above all, Shadow Phoenix and Ernesto - separated at first by everything - finally meet. Driven by a shared impulse, they begin to imagine a different future: for the country, for money, and for themselves.

"Die Erben" is a documentary theatre piece set in a techno-fairy-tale atmosphere, questioning our relationship with money and its role in society.
