WunderWelten: The World Wanderer — Kulturzentrum Linse, Weingarten

20,000 KILOMETERS ON FOOT AROUND THE WORLD

When Gregor Sieböck left his home in Austria more than twenty years ago, he simply wanted to walk to Japan. That crazy idea became a way of life. To be free, to walk.

Since 2003, the World Wanderer has pursued his longing for freedom, simplicity, and genuine encounters. For three years he walked from Europe through South America to Japan and on through the wilderness of New Zealand. But the call to wander never left him - often without a fixed plan, yet with an open heart and boundless curiosity about the world.

His paths took him along ancient Incan trails through the Andes, across the endless expanses of Patagonia, past mighty glaciers, into remote rainforests, and all the way to the silence of the Arctic. He crossed oceans on cargo ships, searched Africa and Latin America for the world's best chocolate, and spent countless years walking the most beautiful trails on our planet.

Along the way, he discovered that the most valuable experiences rarely wait at the destination. It is the people we meet, the unexpected turns life takes, and the small wonders of the moment that make a journey unforgettable.

With stunning photographs, abundant humor, and touching stories, Gregor Sieböck shares his life between adventure and simplicity, between wanderlust and inner home. His live presentation is an inspiring invitation to see the world with fresh eyes and trust your own path.
