Eva & Lilith - A Mythological Comedy
Galli Theater Erfurt, Germany
Eva Maria Binder, the devoted wife, takes a daring step: she visits her husband's lover - Lilian Mondrücken - and confronts her directly. The two women wrestle with each other over their claim to the same man. In a dream, they meet on a mythological plane: Eva, Adam's second wife, faithful companion and first mother, and Lilith, Adam's first wife, a rebel against all ties and commitments.
The play tackles a very old yet persistently relevant theme: the split of woman into the secret lover and the public wife. In this tension-filled, erotically charged comedy, both sides of femininity collide in a striking way.
The concentrated force of opposites, relentless humor, and quiet tenderness combine to form an unusual piece of theatre based on the myth of Lilith - staged as a captivating and thought-provoking comedy. Performed by Sigrun Stiehl & KT Riemann.
