About the venue: Kloster Michaelstein

Kloster Michaelstein is a former Cistercian monastery near Blankenburg in the Harz region, founded in the 12th century. Today it houses a music education centre and a museum of musical instruments, and regularly hosts concerts of early and classical music. The well-preserved medieval buildings and the surrounding park give the venue a distinctive character.
