As its founding administrator, Dr. Günter Paul served the Frankfurter Bürgerstiftung for 22 years until 2016, shaping the foundation's stability and artistic identity with dedication and foresight. To mark his 85th birthday - celebrated back in February - the Eliot Quartett performs three string quartets from different periods of Joseph Haydn's output, at the invitation of the Frankfurter Bürgerstiftung. Haydn is widely credited as the inventor of the string quartet form.
