Luah meets Tanz - orangerie theater

Authentic melodies, fluid arrangements, Afro-Brazilian rhythms and songs spanning the full range of moods - from the joy of Celebração to the longing of Saudade. That is LUAH. The trio of three musicians - Elsa Johanna Mohr (vocals, percussion), Lena-Larissa Senge (vocals, synthesizer, percussion) and Ula Martyn-Ellis (electric guitar, vocals) - blends musical delicacy with real expressive power.

Following the albums "Sunlit" and "Movimento", which won the German Jazz Prize in 2023, the Cologne vocal trio LUAH led by Elsa Johanna Mohr released their third album "Equilíbrio" in 2025. On it, the band embarks on a tender search for balance, carefully weaving together a wide range of musical styles.

For the new project "LUAH meets TANZ", the trio expands its musical world by bringing in dancer and performer Karina Syndikus. In a lively dialogue, music, voice and movement intertwine into a shared expression. Songs and free improvisations take on new colours and stories through dance, as sound and body enter into resonance with each other.

An evening of musical nuance, spontaneous encounters and moving moments - open, poetic and full of energy.
