Luah meets Tanz - orangerie theater

LUAH is a Cologne-based vocal trio featuring Elsa Johanna Mohr (vocals, percussion), Lena-Larissa Senge (vocals, synthesizer, percussion) and Ula Martyn-Ellis (electric guitar, vocals). Their repertoire weaves authentic melodies and Afro-Brazilian rhythms into songs that move between the joyful Celebração and the longing of Saudade. Following the albums "Sunlit" and "Movimento" - the latter awarded the German Jazz Prize 2023 - the trio released their third album "Equilíbrio" in 2025, carefully balancing a wide range of musical styles.

For the project "LUAH meets TANZ", the trio expands its world by bringing in dancer and performer Karina Syndikus. Music, voice and movement enter into a living dialogue: songs and free improvisations take on new dimensions through dance, as sound and body respond to each other.
