King Arthur
Burg Alzenau, Germany
A theatre play for children aged 5 and up
Deep in the forest lives Merlin, a mysterious and somewhat forgetful wizard. His abilities and magic are renowned throughout the land - especially the legendary sword Excalibur, which Merlin thrust into a stone many years ago and enchanted with a spell. Only the rightful king would be able to pull the sword from the stone. All the knights who have tried so far have failed.
Suddenly, Arthur appears - a young squire of one of the knights. And what no one has managed to do, he almost accidentally accomplishes: he pulls Excalibur from the stone. There is no doubt - he must be the rightful king! Merlin is delighted, and the knights of the realm are somewhat offended: they would have liked to be king themselves.
Being a king is not easy at all. First, the beautiful Guinevere arrives, whom Arthur desperately wants to marry, and she brings an enormous table into the castle. Then the golden goblet breaks - a wedding gift that Sir Lancelot brought for Arthur. And when the scatterbrained Merlin accidentally transforms the young king into a wild beast, chaos erupts completely.
A medieval adventure spectacle for audiences aged 5 and up, duration approximately 70 minutes.
