Cinderella (from age 4) - Ballet - for children

On 18 July 2026 at 15:00, Giulia Dance Company presents "Cinderella" at Kulturhaus abraxas.

The ballet "Cinderella" tells the story of a girl who grows up cherished and cared for, but loses her mother to serious illness at a young age. Her father remarries, and his new wife brings two daughters into the family. Soon it becomes clear that Cinderella is merely tolerated and must take care of all the household work. She feels lonely, with only the mice in the kitchen as her friends. She sleeps by the fireplace in the ashes - from which her name derives. When her father goes on a business trip, he brings the stepsisters dresses and Cinderella a hazelnut branch she had wished for. When Cinderella plants the branch on her mother's grave and weeps bitterly, it begins to bloom. Two doves land on the branch and whisper that Cinderella may make a wish. Learning from her stepsisters that a prince is in town and inviting all young women to the castle to find a bride, Cinderella wants to go too, but is forbidden. She runs to her mother's grave and magic begins. Cinderella appears in a magnificent dress, with glass slippers, in an enchanted carriage at the prince's ball. When the prince sees Cinderella at the ball, he dances only with her. But at midnight the spell ends and Cinderella hurries home. This happens twice. The third time, the prince has the stairs coated with pitch. When Cinderella tries to flee, she gets stuck and loses a slipper. The prince then travels throughout the land to find out who the slipper belongs to. When he reaches the last house and the slipper does not fit the stepsisters, he tries...
