Countdown to CSD: Aljosha Muttardi Presents "It Won't Get Better Here, But It Will Get Better"
Mayersche Buchhandlung Aachen, Germany

Just before CSD in Aachen, we invite you together with Rainbow Aachen e.V. to a special evening with author Aljosha Muttardi in the forum M hall.
Many know Aljosha as a doctor, author, and one of the most renowned queer content creators in the German-speaking world. For years, he has been committed to education, diversity, mental health, and visibility for the LGBTQIA+ community through his authentic, humorous, and thoughtful approach. On his social media channels, he reaches millions of viewers and regularly sparks important public debates.
In his long-awaited book, Aljosha shares intimate insights into his life. For the first time, he speaks openly about the most formative phases of his life and shares his most personal moments: he tells of the deep shame and fear that accompanied his coming-out, and the constant feeling of being "not normal." He discusses the pressure to achieve, self-doubt, and the search for mental health in a world that demands performance.
In conversation with moderator Fiene from Rainbow Aachen e.V., Aljosha talks about his journey from doctor to successful content creator and author, about queer life in Germany, social cohesion, and the question of how we can maintain hope even in difficult times. Personal insights, engaging discussions, and space for audience questions make the evening a special opening to the CSD weekend.
Before and after the stage programme, you'll have the chance to get creative in preparation for the CSD weekend. We look forward to an inspiring evening about visibility, courage, community, and the hope that while things may not always get better - they will get better.
