Christian Ehring - Versöhnung

Christian Ehring, known as host of "extra 3" and ensemble member of "Heute Show", is touring again with a brand new solo programme. And that's a good thing. His wit, spontaneity and empathy are needed everywhere. Especially here, especially now.

The country is divided. Day by day the rifts deepen, the lines harden, and civility erodes. Conflicts escalate within seconds. Where there were once civilised debates, today there is only shouting and insults, so you want to keep crying out: "Have you ever heard of politeness, you morons?!" Granted: Ehring himself has not always behaved nobly in the positional warfare of opinions. He has already dissed and bashed, shamed, blamed, silenced and fronted - sometimes without knowing what these words even mean.

But now he says: enough with the division! The satire professional has retrained and wants to reconcile from now on: us with ourselves, us with the world, left with right, Elmex with Aronal. And where could this be better achieved than in the concrete here and now of a theatre evening? The audience awaits a topical, political, personal and also discursive show that does not focus on what divides us, but on what still unites us all. For Ehring one thing is clear: reconciliation begins with listening. We should do that. Namely, listen to him.
