Aali vom Kanali is no longer content. One morning he wakes up and feels a strong yearning to leave, abandoning his old life with Frank, the bream, and his other friends.

The little eel embarks on an adventurous journey through the mystery of water: sometimes it is calm, almost still, then it gurgles or nearly screams. It comes and goes.
