Joseph Haydn (1732-1809): Piano Trio in F Major, Hob. XV:6
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827): Piano Trio in C Minor, op. 1 No. 3

The Amelio Trio - Johanna Schubert (violin), Merle Geißler (cello), and Philipp Kirchner (piano) - was founded in 2012 when all three musicians were just 13 years old. They won second prize at the ARD International Music Competition 2023 and were named ECHO Rising Star for the 2026/27 season.

Upcoming debuts will take the trio to the Vienna Musikverein and Concertgebouw Amsterdam. In September 2025, their debut album Time in Flux was released on the GENUIN label, featuring works by Ives, Beethoven, Mamlok, Brahms, and Bertelsmeier; a second album will follow in autumn 2026 on the Hänssler Classic label.

"Although all three displayed their individual personalities, they responded to each other with keen awareness in the trio and achieved an electrifying interpretation in which one remained attentive every second." (Süddeutsche Zeitung)
