The young piano trio's entry into the international scene was marked by significant competition victories, including second prize at the ARD International Music Competition 2023. Founded in 2012 when Johanna Schubert, Merle Geißler, and Philipp Kirchner were just 13 years old, the trio captivates audiences with seamless interplay, stylistic versatility, and distinctive musical energy - the fruit of a deep and enduring bond among the musicians.

For the 2026/27 season, Amelio Trio has been named ECHO Rising Star. Debuts at the Musikverein Vienna and Concertgebouw Amsterdam lie ahead. In September 2025, their debut album "Time in Flux" was released on the GENUIN label, featuring works by Ives, Beethoven, Mamlok, Brahms, and Bertelsmeier. Their second album will be released in autumn 2026 on the Hänssler Classic label.
