In Barbara's Rhubarb Bar, Rhubarb Is Never Rare

Tongue-Twister Stories - A Musical Book Presentation, presented by Thalia

"Barbaras Rhabarberbar" became a song that spread across the world on TikTok and Instagram - from Würselen through Austin to Tokyo, people danced and rapped to it. It was created and performed by singer-songwriter and musical cabaret artist Bodo Wartke together with music producer Marti Fischer.

Wartke's specialty is challenging tongue-twisters and the stories behind them - with guaranteed verbal stumbling. He delves deep into language and the play with it, discovering its poetry and wit. Why do seven seal families on the cliffs poke their fingers into their ribs? And why do people come up with such things in the first place?

Bodo Wartke, born in Hamburg and on stage for nearly thirty years, is a singer-songwriter, theatre author, and musical cabaret artist - his work has earned him numerous awards. The event concludes with a book signing.
