"Oh dear" said the badger when he woke up. "I'm in a terrible mood today. A really terrible mood." But: "One is surely allowed to be in a bad mood" - he told himself, and left his burrow, naturally not without slamming the door good and hard.

Along the way he meets Raccoon, Deer and Squirrel - and puts them all in a bad mood too. No animal is spared. Soon the whole forest is growling, hissing and grumbling. And the badger thinks: "Maybe I should have stayed home after all. What do I do now?"
