4th Family Concert

Armed with slingshots and pebbles, the children of Longeverne and Velran wage fierce battles against each other. In this "War of the Buttons", the losers have all their buttons cut from their clothes - leaving not just their hearts sinking into their trousers, but the trousers themselves...

Composer Henrik Albrecht has turned the much-adapted children's book classic into an "orchestral narrative", in which the instruments take on leading roles alongside the narrators: "In this composition, the orchestra is also split into two sides. ...When the horns rebel against the trumpets and the strings rise up against the woodwinds, the conductor must make peace once again."
