Igorrr + I Am Your God

Igorrr is the project of Gautier Serre, who fuses death and black metal, breakcore, Balkan folk and Baroque music into an unpredictable sonic universe. Savage Sinusoid (2017) established this approach; Spirituality And Distortion (2020) pushes it further still.

Traditional oriental music is a central inspiration for the album. Serre deliberately chose real instruments - violin, oud, accordion, harpsichord - and recorded them with international musicians in a purely acoustic way, with no digital post-processing.

Vocally, the range runs from the operatic voice of Laure Le Prunenec to extreme growls, including George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (Cannibal Corpse). The title Spirituality And Distortion names this core contrast directly: spiritual depth against raw distortion.
