Igorrr + I Am Your God

Igorrr is the project of French musician Gautier Serre, who merges seemingly opposing styles - death metal, black metal, breakcore, Balkan and Baroque music - into a captivating and unpredictable sonic cosmos. For Serre, music is a journey through diverse emotions: from rage to melancholy, from ecstasy to nostalgia.

The album "Spirituality And Distortion" (2020) draws inspiration from traditional Oriental music. Its tonal colours create a distinctive emotional depth, and combined with harsh guitars, generate a unique atmosphere. Serre deliberately chose authentic instruments: violin, oud, accordion and harpsichord were recorded classically with international musicians - entirely without digital tricks.

The album also stands out for its vocal diversity. The operatic vocals of Laure Le Prunenec clash with extreme growls from George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse. The contrast between brutal rawness and delicate sounds is a conscious stylistic device. The title "Spirituality And Distortion" symbolizes these opposites - spiritual depth meeting raw distortion.
