Lou Andreas-Salomé was a philosopher, writer, and pioneer of psychoanalysis. Throughout her life she pursued freedom and independence with unwavering determination - repeatedly upending the conventions of bourgeois society. From 1903 she lived in Göttingen, where she found her true calling in psychoanalysis.
