The world is on the brink of another world war, and the League of Nations is hopelessly divided. A newspaper ad pleads: "Help us, God!" - so God sends Peter. An absurd drama from the 1930s begins.

It is the 760,839,000th anniversary of the creation of the world, and God has had enough of humanity. When the League of Nations places an ad looking for a new benevolent God, he grudgingly dispatches Peter and two angels to Geneva. But even divine envoys struggle to get anywhere - no authority, no valid passport. A colourful comedy of mistaken identities follows.

Viennese writer Maria Lazar (1895-1948) wrote the play in the 1930s; long forgotten, it was rediscovered in 2022 and had its world premiere in September 2024.
