Nora, or A Doll's House - Summer OpenAir - Theater der Immoralisten

Nora has made it! She lives in luxury at the side of her husband Torvald Helmer, a successful banker. The representative housewife has a reputation as a spendthrift, kept by her husband in a gilded cage. Nora plays the role of the naive wife brilliantly. But behind the façade lies a dark secret: when Helmer suffered from burnout, she forged her father's signature to secure a loan for one of Helmer's employees. Now the moneylender faces dismissal from the bank and resorts to his last weapon: blackmail! Nora must prevent his dismissal, or he will expose the fraud and destroy her family...

A villa in California - a symbol of success and achievement in a world of the rich and beautiful - is the setting for our summer OpenAir! Seven years ago we already had the pleasure of staging this cult Ibsen piece about roles and emancipation. In our new version, we've turned many things on their head. For us, Christmas is now in summer, Helmer is a woman, and Nora is a man. We can't wait to set this explosive mixture on fire...

Half of the seats at the OpenAir are covered. Should the performance become unreasonable due to weather conditions, we reserve the right not to perform. Tickets can then be exchanged as desired.
