In her first solo show "Lasagne im Bett", Matilde takes us on a journey through her life. We see her as an Italian woman in the capital, follow her "career" as an actress and her cultural misunderstandings - all with a mother some of us might be glad not to have.

You're lucky, though: you get to laugh at all of it. With self-deprecating humour, Matilde works through everything life throws at her, and with every laugh you feel a little lighter. No topic is off limits - everyone will find something to smirk, giggle or laugh out loud about, so hard it almost hurts a little. The split between pain and humour. That's Matilde's comedy. And you're welcome to enjoy it in full splits.

"Lasagne im Bett" is something wrong, but too good to stop. It's the tomato sauce stain on the duvet. It's melted cheese for breakfast: simply everything you wouldn't normally let yourself get away with.

"Lasagne im Bett" is Matilde Keizer's solo show, which had its German premiere on Saturday, 13 October 2025 at the Mehringhoftheater in Berlin. A solo tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland is planned to follow.

Short bio:

Matilde is an Italian comedienne and actress. After 18 years in Rome and five years in New York, she now lives in Berlin. She is a trained actress, runs workshops in stand-up and acting (including for Filiz Tasdan, Philipp Uckel, Daniel Luis, Maria Clara Groppler, Kristina Bogansky) and has been doing improv comedy in the American tradition at Comedy Café Berlin for eight years. She was head writer of the "Shapira Shapira Show" and a writer on "Gute Nacht Alter" (funk).

She has performed for ZDF, at the Wühlmäuse, at the Admiralspalast and in Comedy Central sketches, and has appeared in New York, Reykjavik, Edinburgh, St. Petersburg, Barcelona, Rome and numerous German cities.
