Verse und Vibrato - Oper meets Poetry Slam

At the Romanfabrik, professional opera singers meet spoken-word artists for the first time. Iconic figures from operatic literature - such as Carmen's "Habanera" - are illuminated from fresh perspectives, as the spoken word and music enter into direct dialogue.

The evening is hosted by Aileen Schneider, opera director, dramaturg, and spoken-word poet (2020-2025 permanent position at Frankfurt Opera, Götz-Friedrich Prize winner for the production of Reimann's "Melusine" at Frankfurt Opera).
