Rocko Schamoni invites artists to talk about their own failures. Can you actually be successful through failure? Good art, after all, almost always tells the story of the effort to succeed, and as a result - of failure. Failure is never merely funny. It's best viewed from a distance.

Samuel Beckett, the world's star of failure, left us two sentences: "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter." and "Try again. Fail again. Fail better."

Last year, host Rocko Schamoni, Charlotte Brandi, and Joachim Meyerhoff spoke ruthlessly about their own failures and were celebrated in a packed Deutsches Schauspielhaus. Rocko Schamoni announced: "I'd be happy to do this again!"

Christiane Rösinger is a sought-after and very special artist: a musician ("Britta"; various solo albums), journalist (specializing in pop culture), and author. Her book "The Joy of Aging" has just been published (2026).

Thomas von Steinaecker is also a multi-talented artist: he makes films for 3SAT and Arte, radio plays for Deutschlandfunk and Bayerischer Rundfunk, writes novels (his latest "Schwestern" comes out in early September), and on the subject of failure he is THE EXPERT: "Ende offen. Das Buch der gescheiterten Kunstwerke" (2021).

Fritzi Ernst lives in Hamburg as a musician, composer, and songwriter. She releases solo albums, and her latest work "Introvert Memes" is the definitive party anthem.
