Reading aloud is more than words on a page - it's shared time, an adventure in the mind, and the best head start a child can get. Even after a long day at work, nursery, or school, there are ways to spark the joy of reading in yourself and others!
Annette Boll, a reading and literature educator from Bad Saulgau and director of a reading festival in Switzerland ("Thalwil liest vor"), will encourage everyone who reads to children, wants to start, or simply wants to understand how much it helps children grow. After an introductory talk on the link between reading aloud and child development, she will present an entertaining selection of picture books, children's books, and non-fiction titles - with practical tips on how to make reading a regular, enjoyable habit. A book table will be on hand for browsing and conversation.
