Schaubude Berlin presents: "verwurzelt" (4+)
T-Werk Potsdam, Germany
7 €
Object and material theatre with sound collages
"verwurzelt" is an approach to the invisible - to what grows, crawls, flows and sounds in hidden places. How do we access worlds we cannot see, and how do inner images become audible and visible? Two performers use touch, sensation and description to explore the fascinating world beneath their feet, following traces into the unseen and speculating about what lies hidden there - through materials and sounds.
Schaubude Berlin is one of the leading production houses for contemporary puppet and object theatre in the German-speaking world, and a cornerstone institution of Berlin's independent performing arts scene. With around 300 performances a year for children and adults, the programme is built around aesthetic variety. Guest productions, in-house works and co-productions all regularly premiere there. The annual festival "Theater der Dinge" probes new directions in the genre.
